“WHAT A CHANGE” We went to Le Vieux Logis last Wednesday and I have to state that the change in ownership has brought a remarkable change in our dining experience. Great new menu, followed by the warm and friendly service. Sara and Ruby are always enthusiastic and pleasant and genuinely interested in the well-being of the guests, having been there for many years they are “part of the family”. The exotic fruits soufflé was absolutely delicious. We look forward to returning and during the warm weather we like to sit outside!

We had dinner here in December before the new chef started. The menu was dated and the food was poorly presented. We heard by word of mouth that since the change in ownership, the restaurant has improved. We decided to give it another try. We learned that having the new chef in the kitchen, the change is very much for the better! We loved our meals- everything was just fantastic! We has beef tenderloin and pan- seared veal cheeks for our main courses and they were fantastic. The sauces that this chef prepares perfectly accent the food-such a nice touch. We had the soup of the day (wild mushroom) and oysters on the half shell to start and they were perfect. The soup was so good, I ordered more to take home when we left. Our waitress recommended a nice Pinot noir to go with our meals. We had an excellent dinner. The new chef and owner seems to be resurrecting a restaurant that desperately needed a change! We will return soon.

Using only the freshest seasonal ingredients, the food blossoms under this French chef’s touch. The breads are homemade and lovely. The new menu contains some old favorites albeit with a new twist and new appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Excellent entrees include seasonal items such as shad, crab cakes, and quail and standard items such as liver, veal cheeks, steak, and salmon. The food is tasty, the sauces delicate, and the plates artfully arranged. The dessert menu contains such wonders as soufflé, chocolate mousse, and assorted pastry items. What’s not new THANK GOODNESS is the wonderful wait staff who make customers feel right at home in selecting food with a real French accent. I have dined here 3 times since the ownership changed and the place keeps me smiling and coming back for more.
